Welcome to our engagement for an other Europe -

We propose a joint project to the civil society:

"Peoples’ Pact on common goods and collective rights"

In February 2009, 11 representatives of civil society groups initiated with their "Manifesto of Castellina" to supplement the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights by a Charter or Pact on collective rights to common goods.
Today turned the "European Citizens Network" to the associations of civil society with the Appel to put this intiative into concrete joint actions.
With an appeal to the citizens we propose to hold a public debate about the content and form of a pact to be concluded by the people on common goods and collective rights.

The initiators are convinced that this project can be a vital contribution of civil society to tackle the current global financial and economic crisis.

According to the authors, such a globally applicable people’s pact would would serve both the peaceful coexistence of nations on our planet, his backup as the home of all life and the protection of nature as well as addressing the current financial and economic crisis.

Precondition for concluding such a pact is the recognition of common objects in the existing nation on a democratic basis, in order to guarantee the adequate effectiveness of the government at the international level. The initiators of this project are available to the view that integrated nations in Europe take the first steps in this direction, since they are already linked by common values and confirmed on common assets, especially intangible nature.

Initial ideas about such a "People’s pact on common property and collective rights" can be found on the same Workshop-site "Common goods and collectiv rights".

The draft provided to be signed and disseminated from other clubs of the

Appeal to the citizens:

Peace - the most essential common good of the people
